TICKETS
Recital tickets will be available April 19th through your parent portal and can be accessed by the public on our website www.fredericksburgdance.com. Parents and family members who are watching the show from the audience must purchase tickets. If you are planning on sitting with your child backstage, please let us know and we will give you a backstage pass! Tickets are assigned and prices vary from $10-$25 based on seat location. Seating is limited, so we ask that each family please only purchase the minimum amount of tickets needed. Lap Children are not required to have a ticket. Tickets are ONLY available for purchase online and will be scanned at the door upon arrival. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable - please make sure when purchasing it is for the correct show.

RECITAL

Front Doors will open 45 minutes prior to showtime for dancers and 30 min prior to showtime for the public.

Dancers will have changing areas set up backstage, so if a male guardian is accompanying your dancer, please let us know in advance before entering the backstage area.

Dancers MUST arrive at least 30min early prior to show time. Please show up on time, dressed and ready with shoes and accessories. We encourage you to put their names on their shoes so they are not misplaced or accidentally swapped.

As soon as you arrive, please bring the dancers to their designated space backstage before taking your seats. Dancers will stay in backstage for the duration of the show. A parent is welcome to sit with their dancer if need be.

The Rockbox will have concessions available during both shows as well that includes chips, candy, beverages & adult beverages. We will have an intermission, but concessions will be available throughout the duration of the show. You are welcome to check in with your dancer during intermission. Dancers are welcome to bring water and mess-free snacks backstage if need be - no juice or colored drinks will be permitted. We encourage dancers to bring activities and things to keep them entertained while they wait backstage as well.

No flash photography or videography will be allowed during the recital. It is distracting to the dancers on stage and it’s also for the protection of our students and choreographers. We have hired a professional videographer to record the show - details on how to order recital videos will be sent out via email and will also be available on our website.​

We ask that all dancers and families stay until the end of the show. We will have a short finale and as soon as the show is over, dancers will be allowed on stage to receive flowers, take pictures and visit with family. The stage will be cleared 15 min after the show has ended. Please gather all of their belongings before you leave.
DRESS REHEARSAL - FRIDAY, MAY 16th @ THE ROCKBOX THEATER

We ask that all dancers arrive 15 min early to their scheduled rehearsal time.
Please enter through the front door. Rehearsal times are listed below. We will run combo classes in the order they will perform on the actual recital day. Dancers should come dressed and ready with all shoes and accessories. We will show all classes where their assigned seating backstage will be for the recital and where they will enter from on recital day. They are welcome to sit with parents in the audience during the rehearsal before we run their dances on stage.
RECITAL PICTURES

Recital Pictures will be taken during the recital rehearsal. Picture schedule is listed below. Times may adjust depending on when each group is on stage and how long they take, but we will let everyone know when to head into the lobby for their pictures. We will also have information on how to purchase your pictures at recital rehearsal.
COSTUMES, HAIR & MAKE-UP

Costumes will be handed out to parents as soon as they are received! Combo dancers will also receive a pair of tights with their costume. Ballet dancers - please make sure you have pink tights for the show, those are not included in the costume cost. Any dancer that needs shoes - please let the office know immediately! We only order black patent leather tap shoes and ballet shoes - we do not bulk order lace up tap shoes or jazz shoes, but we can let you know where to purchase them from!
Make-Up : Dancers should wear eye shadow, mascara, blush and lipstick (with the exception of our male dancers). We recommend Neutral Browns for eye shadow and a darker pink for blush and lipstick. Please take into account there are stage lights which tends to drown out complexions. If you have any questions - feel free to ask your teacher
